Meet Suzanne Bode

Founder of the MusiCOOL Method and MusiCOOL, LLC

Suzanne is a very energetic grandmother who has been teaching music to children since she was a child, herself. She has a B.S. degree in music education with a major in violin from the renown Crane School of Music at the State University of New York at Potsdam.  She began her career teaching general music in Putnam County, New York also having a private studio teaching violin, viola and cello lessons to students ranging in age from pre-school to college.  She then taught both general music and orchestra in Vero Beach, Florida for more than thirty years.  She is the founder of the Indian River Youth Symphony which grew under her baton to over one-hundred students under four conductors.  She also worked while in Vero as a volunteer for many cultural organizations including the Vero Beach Theater Guild, the Atlantic Classical Orchestra and the Vero Beach Concert Association.

She has performed professionally with many orchestras in the northeast including the Vermont Philharmonic and the Mid-Hudson Valley Symphony.  In Florida she performed with the Treasure Coast Symphony, the Atlantic Classical Orchestra and the Beaux Arts Quartet as well as performing as a soloist. In 2006, she moved to the Ocala area where she now resides on a small farm.  She enjoys landscaping, spending time with her family, making music, cooking and reading as well as teaching her classes in drama and orchestra. She brings joy to her vast experience spanning more than half a century and is the founder of the MusiCOOL Method of teaching strings and MusiCOOL, LLC.
