Meet Scott Jackson

Master Luthier; Award-Winning Maker and Restorer of Stringed Instruments; Head of Instrument Maintenance

Scott is true luthier with a vast experience in making and repairing all string instruments.  His specialty is restoring old instruments.  His instruments are played by students at the Julliard School of Music in New York, the Interlochen School of the Performing arts as well as on concert stages across the globe. Scott has a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Florida, with an emphasis in Painting and Sculpture. His experience in creating award winning model cars and airplanes provided him with the background needed to restore an old violin for his son. While Kenny practiced, Scott researched violins, learning everything he could. He is classically trained by Master Violin Maker Hans Nebel at the Violin Institute of America in New Hampshire, which provided him with the expertise he has practiced since 1987.

The late Dr. Robert Cade, inventor of Gatorade, named Scott Jackson as one of the most influential people in his lifetime. He will be featured in a documentary being produced about Dr. Cade's life as a physician, scientist, musician, and inventor. Scott has been named the "Conservator for the Dr. Robert Cade Violin Collection for The University of Florida".
